Gümbet

Gümbet is a small town with numerous hotels. It is located about 2 km from Bodrum, with the minibuses it takes 5 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. Gumbet got its name from the many cysterns, with their white domes scattered around the bay. Since the beach is very popular and not far from Bodrum, the village has developed rapidly. The number of bars and restaurants in Gumbet has grown rapidly, making it almost a rival to Bodrum’s nightlife.

In the bay, the sea drops off slowly and it is a long sandy beach that is well suited for families with children. The Bay of Gumbet is located between the headlands of Inceburun and Adaburun. It is also very suitable for water sports. One of the most famous water sports facilities of the whole peninsula is located here. For sailing, water skiing and surfing there are ideal conditions here. On the coast there are facilities for water sports that can be used for a fee.

With the increasing number of visitors and hotels, Gumbet has become a place of entertainment that has become an alternative to Bodrum. At dusk, the bars, cafés and restaurants on the coast fill up, and every kind of entertainment enlivens the place.
